Carmen Vintilescu

Freelance Marketing Strategist & Sustainability Facilitator

I facilitate strategic partnerships between businesses and non-profits or community-led initiatives for increased social and environmental impact.
As a sustainability and regenerative business facilitator, I build on my experience in both business and non-profit worlds to build bridges and collaborations - as an opportunity for value creation and as key to thriving in the face of complex challenges.

I help brands and organisations grow, through purpose and positive impact: strengthening their value proposition, finetuning their sustainability strategy as part of the core strategy, or by realizing this strategy through partnerships with the right non-profits.
Non-profit organizations can increase their reach and diversify their funding by collaborating with the right businesses.
Kind Growth is based on the belief that we can prioritize both being kind (to ourselves, to our organisation, to our communities, to the planet) and still achieve long-term value creation and development.

I am a strategist with 15+ years’ experience in (marketing) strategy on the consulting side (for firms like McKinsey), or on the corporate side (for Philips, Colruyt Group). Strong credentials in strategy development and innovation, in multi-disciplinary teams, across different sectors, from established brands such as Colruyt or Philips, to growing brands such as Collect&Go or start-ups. First experience as social entrepreneur and community builder as the host and organiser for CreativeMornings Brussels (a monthly lecture series) for 3 years.

I bring enthusiasm for meaningful change through collaboration, simplicity for complex, multi-facetted challenges and I do my best work in diverse teams, energizing different stakeholders around a common goal.

Fluent in English, Dutch, French and Romanian, and conversational level in Spanish.

About

Carmen's Story
As a person passionate about meaningful change and a positive impact on society, I have mostly followed this passion through side projects, such as hosting and organising CreativeMornings Brussels.
The challenges of an intense corporate strategy job, while being a young mom and during Covid pandemic, triggered me to take some time and reflect on what I wanted and needed in my work journey. When sensing the complexity and the urgency of the problems facing today, as well as the huge potential for positive change, I have decided it was time to fully dedicate myself to social impact.

A few months later, during a class on Social Entreprenership at London School of Economics,  the idea for Kind Growth was born.  Kind Growth  combines my experience in both business and non-profit worlds. It is based on the belief that organizations can prioritize both being kind (to themselves, to the community, to the planet) and achieving long-term value creation and growth.

I do my best work in diverse teams, and strongly believe in collaboration as source of opportunities for value creation, and in partnerships as a key to thriving in the complex social and environmental challenges we face.

In the last few years, I have developed a strong interest in mindfulness (contemplative practices), and exploring how it can enrich the domain of regenerative businesses and sustainability transition.

I enjoy meditation, swimming, living in Brussels, with my partner and our daughter.
